“Make Available the Reality of the Religious Experience”

Based in Truth, beauty stirs within our hearts a deep longing which inspires an interior experience of transcendence.  The very essence of beauty is the divine and because of this, beauty connects humanity to the divine.  Yet our contemporary world is starved of rich devotional imagery which enables us to experience the Trinity, which is Love itself.  I create so as to immerse our modern world within a reality of love, peace, and goodness.  Inspired by Franciscan Spirituality, much of my work centers on the love of God present in Christ’s incarnation, his crucifixion, and his total giving of himself in the Eucharist, as well as our response to his love by our total self-giving.  Therefore, my work is not only an invitation to enter into the mysteries of Christ, but also an invitation to question our own identities within the context of God’s love.  By encountering God, we embrace a total self-emptying and self-giving nature so that Love itself may enter and consume our very being.  In doing this, we become a glowing reflection of God’s love.
